Nature Play - Take back Childhood
3:45 PM - 5:30 PM | 23 Oct 2019

Presented by The Geelong College Junior School Learning Outdoors Team

The ‘Nature Play – take back childhood’ film is a celebration of Nature Pedagogy – or teaching and learning through nature. It explains the importance of the outdoor environment for children’s physical, academic, emotional and spiritual development.

It reminds us of the importance of learning outdoors at all stages of a child’s schooling, as they learn firsthand by doing. Risk and challenge are unpacked and explored as learning opportunities for children.

Parents often ask us what we do at our Bush Connections program, and how the children learn in the bush and in our Junior School Nature Play area. Come along and be inspired and informed by this award-winning film.
